Administrative Board

The Administrative Board provides for the administration of the organization and the life of the church. The Administrative Board shall be the administrative agency of the charge conference. For information or to send a question please contact: the church office

Nominating Committee

This committee guides the charge conference/Administrative Board on matters regarding leadership placement, other than church staff, and to identify leaders in the congregation. For information or to send a question, please contact: Pastor Kathryn Strempke.


Finance Committee
The Committee is charged with disbursement of funds to creditors, employees, benevolences, and the like, as directed by the Administrative Board. Finance is also charged with responsibility for developing and implementing plans that will raise sufficient income to meet the Cost of Ministry established by Council on Ministry. This Committee also compiles annually a complete Cost of Ministry (budget) and submits it to the Administrative Board for review and adoption. Stewardship
Stewardship Committee is a sub-committee of the Finance Committee responsible for planning and encouraging year-round growth in faithful stewardship. Stewardship is faithful discipleship, that is spiritual formation, and therefore, this committee inspires and leads the congregation as growing stewards of their “prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.” For information or to send a question please contact: For information or to send a question, please contact: Steve Oliver.

Board of Trustees
The group charged with the responsibility for the supervision and care of all property and equipment owned by the local church. The Board is to plan and set policies for the maintenance and use of the property and equipment, receives and administers all requests to the local church. Endowment Fund Committee

This Committee is charged to administer The Permanent Endowment Fund of WUMC at the direction of the Charge Conference. This Fund is established for the purpose of providing members and friends the opportunity to make charitable gifts to WUMC that will become a permanent endowment of financial support and a living memorial. The Committee is responsible for providing educational opportunities for the congregation on personal and family financial stewardship and estate planning. Staff-Parish Relations Committee
The Staff-Parish Relations Committee works closely with the pastor and staff concerning their relationship with the congregation and the entire work of the church. This committee is in essence the personnel committee of the pastoral charge. The committee is to be sensitive to the opinions and concerns of the congregation concerning the pastor and staff. It is to confer with the district superintendent or the bishop concerning the appointment of the pastor for the church. The committee recommends the salary for the pastor to the Charge Conference. Council on Ministries (COM)
The Council on Ministries plans and implements the programs and ministry of the local church. For information or to send a question please contact: Ted Burdett.

Learning Academy Preschool Council (LAP)
The function of the LAP Council is to assure adherence to Licensing Standards; approve LAP budget; and act as counsel for any preschool staff member and or parent regarding any preschool related issue. For information or to send a question please contact: Sherry London.

Children's Council
This council is responsible for the planning, development, and evaluation of children’s ministry for children from nursery through 6th grade.  For information or to send a question please contact: Colleen Driggers.

Youth Activity Council (YAC)
The Youth Activity Council shall be responsible for recommending to the Council on Ministries activities, program emphases, and settings for youth. For information or to send a question please contact: Chuck Church.

Adult Ministry

Adult Ministry addresses the concerns and conditions of adults so they may grow in their understanding of themselves and the Christian faith. This may include any or all of the following: young adults, middle-aged adults, older adults, single adults, and married adults. Worship
Evaluates, develops, and executes plans for Sunday Worship and special Worship experiences throughout the year. Each of the areas of responsibility interlock to provide dynamic, inclusive, and vital worship for a congregation that is distinctively United Methodist, and yet, a congregation that is a melting pot of traditions and experiences of its congregation members. Communications
This group coordinates all available avenues of communication concerning the ministry of the church, using every available medium (newspaper, website, commuity news, mailings, and more). For information or to send a question please contact: Jeanine Stevens.
 
Connecting Team
Develops, executes, and evaluates, a plan of hospitality to guests, constituents, and members from the parking lot to the classroom or worship center. Each of the areas of responsibility dovetail to afford a welcoming atmosphere for all who attend the church.

Shepherding Ministry
This ministry intentionally provides care and support during life changing events to the congregation and community by providing meals, visits, communication, communion, and prayer to individuals and families in need.
