The weekday Learning Academy Preschool is an extension of the Children's Ministries of Wylie United Methodist Church. Wylie United Methodist Church is committed to providing a loving, safe, environment where the child can learn and grow as a child of God.

Sherry London is a career educator specializing in the area of early childhood education. For twenty-one years she has taught children ranging in age from three years through eleventh grade. Sherry has taught children, parents, and teachers in the public school arena. She is a trained Parent Education Facilitator and has led workshops on homework helps, parenting styles, teaching the ADHD child, and more. For the past ten years she has been the Director of the Wylie United Methodist Church Learning Academy Preschool which includes over 130 exceptional students and 25 gifted teachers.
 

Preschool hours: Monday through Thursday 9:15am to 1:45pm
 

The preschool is a carefully planned, quality program that will provide two, three, four, and five year olds with successful learning experiences. Welcome and calendar activities, language arts instruction, mathematics instruction, music exploration, creative art, storytelling, centers for hands on learning, readiness skills for kindergarten, physical activities and Christian teaching are included in the child's day.

                                      · Tuesdays only (2 yr olds)
                                      · Tuesdays and Thursday (all ages)
                                      · Four day (3 yr olds) new 2010
                                      · Four day (4 yr olds)
 
 


 

LEARNING ACADEMY PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION

Registration forms may be picked up from the church office or preschool office and returned with a check, cash, or money order in the amount of $50.00 to cover the registration fee.  Registration continues throughout the school year as space is available.  A wait list is maintained when a class or age category is full.  If additional information is needed please call the preschool office at 972-429-0801 or email the director at sherry.london@wylieumc.org
