Music is an important part of both our services. We sing hymns, new and old, and also praise God in music with newer praise choruses. Ensembles, Solos, and piano music are all a part of the worship experience. All the music groups are always open to new members. Adult Choir
The Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir enjoys preparation and sharing music that enables the congregation to feel the presence of God in our midst as we worship together. The Chancel Choir normally presents their anthem or other special music at the 9:30 Sunday morning worship services. The Chancel Choir rehearsal is scheduled each Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30pm in Room 101. Along with the Chancel Choir, other special music is offered regularly in our worship services. Several ensembles sing regularly in worship and our music ministry is expanding in exciting ways as new talent joins our congregation. Childcare available.
Contemporary Praise Bands
The Filthy Rags
The Filthy Rags is an inspirational group that leads our Contemporary worship service each Sunday at 10:45. The Filthy Rags lead us with contemporary praise music as well as original songs.
Youth Praise Team Rehearsals
Both bands rehearse on Sunday and can consist of vocalists, percussion, guitars, key board, brass, and other instruments as talent provides. Contact Chuck Church. There are two youth praise bands: 2:30-4 pm J Team (Jesus Team) Jr. High, 4-6 pm PBJ (Powered By Jesus) Sr. High.
Specialty Groups
Tarnished Brass
Tarnished Brass is a group of brass players that come together periodically through the year to lead music during worship. This group is open to high school - adult players of all levels. Ask Scott Wilson for more information.
Adult/Student Handbells
This handbell choir consisting of Adults and students from 5th grade - 12th grade meets Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7pm during the school year under the direction of Scott Wilson. Handbells will resume in September 2013. For additional information contact Scott at scott@foyinc.com
Children's Music
Childrens Choir
Meets during the school year from 4:30pm- 5:00pm each Sunday afternoon - ages 3 years - 6th grade.
During the school year children gather on Sunday afternoons for a time of music, movement, and praise. This group will periodically participate in Sunday morning worship. The Children's Choir is under the direction of Colleen Driggers.
