Sunday Evening Youth
Momentum is mass multiplied by velocity (P=MV), it is also the new name for youth Sunday night events. Sunday nights are about fellowship and fellowship is best when you have a lot of people there (Mass) and something amazing to do (Velocity)!
Inspired by the UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship) model, most Sunday nights will consist of all youth meeting from 6-8pm. We start off with a snack-supper and then the groups split. Jr. High stays down stairs for a group activity while High School youth head upstairs to the youth room for THE SUNDAY NIGHT WORD. Then we switch! One big difference about Sunday nights Momentum is that is mostly youth led. Our selected student leaders help lead the activities and THE SUNDAY NIGHT WORD.
Although our students will be leading we are still in need of adult leaders. The role of an adult leader is to engage youth in relational discussion (especially the ones by themselves) and to aid in keeping order! Each Sunday we will need a minimum of 4 adult leaders.
Special Momentum Nights:
Big MO (aka Youth Night Out)
Every second Sunday our youth will head out to the local area to have some fun! typical outings will include Laser Tag, Trampoline Park, Bowling, Scavenger Hunts, Paintball, etc. These particular nights will meet from 5:30-8:30 to allow for travel time.
WO MO (aka Youth Worship)
Youth Worship is a time for music and THE WORD OF THE MONTH. The music is led by our PBJ and/or J Team praise bands and the message by Chuck Church or a special guest speaker.
